I agree, I am not a dancer and not fond of dancing much but I've seen few dancing contests and I think Salsa is a very good form of dance. It requires energy, it needs skills and requires concentration to succeed in it. A lot of people dance but quality dancers are very few and they're the ones who make Dancing beautiful!

LoL, some pretty good tips. I don't know how to dance at all and this part doesn't interest me either but yes if both are good dancers, your body will really talk and you won't have to say anything. The energies transmitted while dancing is pretty effective but without those three tips you gave to men, it would be really difficult to even get close to a girl lol!

I am soooo not surprised Salsa burns that much! It's not just the movement that burns, burns, burns, but the sensual energy. That's what I think, anyway!

Apart from that, it's the best bit of exercise I'd recommend during winter 'cos the energy of the music is enough to make you feel you're in sunnier climes.

Aerobic dancing might munch through more calories, but give me salsa anyday – all I have to do is close my eyes while I'm moving dem hips to imagine I'm dancing with Antonio Banderas. Errrm, Brad Pitt would do as a second choice if Antonio couldn't make it!

I was surprised to see that Salsa Dancing burns so many calories. This is definitely a must for people who are trying to have fun and lose weight at the same time.

Many people don't realize that certain things burn more calories than other things. This is a great reminder to those people that it's really important to do your research.

I went to the Cigar Bar & Grill when I was in SF last spring. It is a very nice place. The atmosphere is perfect for meeting other classy people. Although I am not a great dancer, I love to watch people who do it well.

As a member of an New Jersey Salsa Band, Rumba Con Son, I have a deep appreciation for Latin Music. Our band actually plays covers of groups like Grupo Niche. Having grown up in Spanish Harlem myself, I really love what the Spanish Harlem Orchestra is doing to revive the New York sound. While Rumba Con Son is based in NJ, we figure we're close enough to New York to pass.
