I just moved to El Cerrito from San Francisco. I’m guessing all the neat places are in Oakland or Berkeley. For someone who loves going to hip hop/salsa clubs, as well as burlesque and broadway musicals and shows what places would you suggest?

Freight and Salvage in Berkley an eclectic array of folk and international music in an alchohol free venue going strong for 40 years!

Berkley Rep, Shotgun, Center Rep all in Berkley
Dean Lesher Center in Walnut Creek

Burlesque sadly isn’t my thing though there are many groups in the Bay Area I only know of this one

I used to live in Santa Cruz not far from Monterrey.. There are a few places one of the most known clubs is Club Gemini on cannery row Monterey. Club Octane also in Monterrey plays salsa they are located on Alvarado st . These places are all close to the Monterrey bay aquarium. As far as I know there is nothing in Salinas.

You can probably go further north to Santa Cruz and find Moe’s Alley downtown Santa cruz and a few more.
