About Pepito Gomez:
Pepito Gomez, former lead singer of salsa cubana power band Pupy Y Los Que Son Son, will be making his Bay Area debut performing live for one night only with guest musicians from NYC's Hot Salsa band La Bola at the newly "remodeled" Club Anton in Oakland's Jack London Square.
Originally from Camaguey de Cuba, Jose "Pepito" Gomez Martinez has been a member of outstanding bands like "Maravilla de Florida" & "Charanga Latina". Later with the great Cesar "Pupy" Pedroso (ex-Los Van Van), he electrified the world by singing great hits like "La Borrachera", "Dicen Que Dicen", & the current favorite "Un Poquito Al Reves". His popularity in Europe and all over the world with Pupy was highlighted by fans being turned away at Club La Tropical in Rome which has the capacity of 5000 people. A voice so powerful he "could sing fresh life into the dead." – Bruce Polin of Descarga.com
